CAMPION from the GOODGE COLLECTION

The design featuring campion has been taken from a plate that was commissioned by the French state at the end of the Prussian war and after Napoleon III was deposed. The original was made at the Sevres Porcelain factory factory in 1874/75 and finally decorated in 1880. The Plate has been in the Goodge Collection since the late 1920’s and was thought to have originally been displayed at the French Embassy in London.
