My goodness we’re halfway through April already.
The Country Living Spring Fair was huge, busy and inevitably exhausting. There were so many people, lovely things to see and buy. Fantastic shopping, all under one roof and all from small companies run by amazing, imaginative, enthusiastic people.
As a result of trawling round the trade shows in February there are now lovely things coming into the shop. It’s all arriving in huge boxes and the shop is filling up. Need a bigger shop.
To give you a taste – sea grass baskets with gorgeous cotton print linings. Cosmetic bags, hanging wash bags. Cowhide pencil cases or make-up bags. Glass bowls. Kew pots in gorgeous colours. Sea sponges, bath salts, soaps. Keyrings, handy tools, kitchen timers. Vibrant Designer’s Guild T towels, oven mitts and gauntlets, let’s get bright and colourful this summer!
The picnic theme this year is mainly acrylic. It is shatterproof, light-weight, dishwasher safe and stunningly beautiful. To look at, you don’t realise it isn’t glass until handling, then amazement!
Acrylic ice buckets with lids that double as food trays. Acrylic wine bottle coasters, napkin trays.
And of course The Garden House picnic rugs with matching bags.
Our next outing is the Walden Times Fair in Kent on 9/10/11 June. A lovely summer event held in the grounds of Hole Park, Rolvenden. The big feature of our stand will be the TiiPii swing-bed/hammock which is on the website and soon to be seen in the shop window. This is a clever design by some very clever Aussies, no doubt with their glorious climate in mind, but we can live in hope. The TiiPii works just as well indoors and is wonderfully relaxing.
More arriving all the time … Watch this space.
